Kingston Hospital NHS Trust Chooses Phew Internet to provide value added Internet solution
Phew Internet has won a contract from Kingston Hospital NHS Trust (in Surrey) to re-design and re-develop its website to make it simpler and faster for patients, visitors and health professionals to find the information they need.

Eye Tracking Analysis
Asking people for their opinions on your internet communications is all well and good, but to find out how they actually respond to what you send them has always been very difficult. But now with Phew’s new eye tracking system, we can examine in detail how people react to any electronic communication in order to determine the best design, navigation and other tools to obtain the desired reaction.

Not just what you do, but the way that you do it
Like all industries, people who provide internet based services have their own jargon. Quite often you will hear the phrase conversion ratio, or its obligatory acronym CR bandied about. Although it will be interpreted in different ways depending on the type of organisation you work for, it is a vital criterion on which to judge the success of your e-marketing campaigns. So what does CR mean and why should you care?

Phew’s internet services go far beyond the technical for the NPSA
The aim of the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) is to lead and contribute to improved, safe NHS patient care. A key part of achieving this objective is to communicate effectively with employers, managers and staff in the healthcare sector across the UK. The internet provides the ideal channel for this and Phew’s support in specifying, developing and implementing the NPSA’s website been critical to its internet communications success.

Internet Communications – panacea or pandemonium?
Communicating electronically with your target audiences, whether they are current or potential customers, internal departments or others you want to prompt into action can be highly effective. Unlike printed materials it is highly controllable with the ability to make amendments whenever they are needed. And in contrast with advertising or media coverage, you can track exactly which parts of your communication is motivating the response you are aiming for.

But, while all this is possible, many organisations undertake internet based communications campaigns using websites, e-newsletters and other activities, that meet their own needs rather than those of their intended users. And then they ignore the tools available to analyse the results which allow them to introduce appropriate changes.

The Internet is fantastic
Let’s face it. The Internet is fantastic and opens up so many opportunities for growth. At Phew we are passionate about ensuring that our clients take full advantage of the latest technology.

The Internet is no longer just about having a great looking website, making sure you appear in search engines, or even finding ways to tell people about your website. It is about how it integrates within your organisation and is used to maximum effect.

Changes in company regulations – does your website comply?
Companies and limited liability partnerships could theoretically face fines for failing to include company addresses and registration details on their websites and official emails, following amendments to the Companies Act that came into effect on 1 January 2007 - click here to read more & link to original article on the company house website.
